	We are in an area of outstanding natural beauty. When you arrive you will feel like you have stumbled across your own private woodland. We try to access as many aspects of our natural surroundings as possible in our aim to provide a holistic experience for those who come here.

play is good here.

Part of our emphasis is on learning through play, and we do this inside and outside. The grounds are full of opportunities - swings, dens to be made, trees to climb, sculptures to find, objects to make etc. We integrate these elements as part of a child centred approach to learning and growing.

art is natural here.

We believe in the power of the expressive arts to provide transformative learning and holistic experiences. Art is central to our approach, and creative opportunities are found inside and outside, from therapeutic art to craft workshops, reflective practice CPD and group courses. We have a strong emphasis on the natural environment and materials.

wildlife is truly wild here. The Cairngorms have been called one of the last real wilderness places in Britain, and this whole area is perfect for seeing animals in their natural habitats. We have well over thirty species of birds just in our own grounds, including partridges, bullfinches and tree creepers as well as red squirrels, bats and owls. We set up bird and bat boxes, feeders, habitats etc as part of outdoor activities.

Local museums and parks provide award winning interactive experiences of life over the last four centuries in the highlands. There is a strong sense of ownership of land and heritage, and we use these resources as part of our provision, which also brings in a wider community base for the work.
